On the judges call, the competitor may pick up the first sandbag and carry it 25m towards the loading platform. Upon getting to the platform, the competitor must load the sandbag to the platform and ensure the sandbag does not fall off – if it does fall off, the competitor will have to load again. Upon successfully loading the sandbag and receiving the judges command, the competitor can them make the 15m trip back to the second sandbag and repeat the process moving towards the platform and loading it on there too. The event will have a maximum time of 60 seconds.
Sandbags may be carried by any method the competitor wishes, with the only requirement being that the heavier sandbag can not be attempted before the lighter sandbag is successfully loaded
Allowable equipment for this event are one soft and one hard belt, wrist wraps and elbow/knee sleeves. Chalk is also allowable, but no other substances are allowed.
The time will finish when the competitor has successfully loaded both sandbags to the platform and removes their hands. If the competitor is unsuccessful loading the second sandbag, the competitors time will be taken from when they successfully loaded the first sandbag – not the distance carried. The event will be scored on who finishes the course the quickest.

[/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”Event 2 – DOX Axle Deadlift” _builder_version=”3.27.4″ open=”off”]
Competitors will have 3 attempts at successfully lifting a maximum double overhand deadlift on an axle, with all grouped competitors running together in order of weight lifted. If a competitor is unsuccessful with an attempt, they will be eliminated from the remaining group of competitors. A successful lift will require competitors to be standing up with the axle, with knees/hips locked, shoulders neutral and receiving a ‘down’ call from the head judge. After the down call, the competitors must keep control of the axle all the way to the ground (hands always in contact with the axle) – thrown or dropped axles will result in a no lift, with no warnings given.
All axles will be 50mm in diameter, and pulled from the standard height using steel plates. No straps/knee/wrist wraps may be worn, and only chalk applied to the hands. Talc can be applied to the thighs, and must be done so in a dedicated talc area. Elbow and knee sleeves are acceptable, as is a maximum of one soft belt and one hard belt which may be layered but not stacked up the torso.
The heaviest successful lift in each weight class will determine the winner, with any ties first being determined by who attempted a weight on the earlier attempt followed by split points.
WEIGHTS
All women – minimum 50kg
All men – minimum 100kg
[/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”Event 3 – Super Chain Reverse Drag” _builder_version=”3.27.4″ open=”off”]
Starting behind the line, the competitor must grab the chain lengths by the handle and on the judges call start dragging the chain for the 20m course. The rear of the chain will start on the line, and the course will be completed when the rear of all lengths have crossed the line. Any drag method may be used, provided the competitor is traveling backwards. The competitor has a maximum time of 45 seconds to complete the course.
Allowable equipment for this event are one soft and one hard belt, wrist wraps and elbow/knee sleeves. Chalk is also allowable, but no other substances are allowed.
If the competitor is unable to finish the course, a distance measurement will be taken from the start line to the rear of the chain for a total drag measurement. Quickest time will win the event, followed by the furthest distance managed.
WEIGHTS
Novice/LWW/MWW: 1 chain (approx 90kg)
OW/NM/LWM: 2 chains (approx 180kg)
MWM/OM: 3 chains (approx 270kg)
[/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”Event 4 – Log Clean + Press for Reps” _builder_version=”3.27.4″ open=”off”]
On the judges start call, competitors may choose between a light and a heavy log to attempt to clean and press. Any method may be used to get the implement from the ground to the overhead and locked out position. Once the judge is satisfied that the competitors have achieved a successful lockout (log controlled overhead, elbows/knees/hips locked out, head ‘through’ and feet together), the competitor will receive a ‘Down’ call. On the down call, the competitor must lower the log under control back to the ground – any throwing or dropping of the implement will result in the competitor having to retake that lift again. Competitors may then attempt the same log, or the other log again for as many times as they wish within 60 seconds.
Competitors may wear a maximum of 2 belts; one hard and one soft. These may be layered, but cannot be stacked up the torso. Knee and elbow sleeves may be worn, as well as wrist wraps. Chalk is the only substance that may be applied to the body.
This event will be scored with a combination of reps of the light and heavy log. One rep of the heavier log beats any number of reps of the lighter log. If competitors have a tied amount of reps of the heavy log, any additional reps of the lighter log will determine the score.

[/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”Event 5 – Farmers Deadlift Medley” open=”on” _builder_version=”3.27.4″]
Starting behind the start line, on the judges ‘Start’ command the athlete must successfully lift and lock out a rep of a deadlift with the farmers handles. Once the competitor is successful and receives a ‘Down’ call, they must then lower the handles to the ground and can proceed with carrying the implement for 10m. This deadlift/carry process is repeated until the competitor has done a combination of 3 deadlifts, and 3x10m carries. Upon crossing the final mark at 30m, the competitor may then continue to perform deadlift repetitions (requiring a down call in between) until their time expires. The farmers can be dropped throughout the course, but must then be picked up and carries to the 10m marks each time before deadlift reps will be counted.
Competitors may wear a maximum of 2 belts; one hard and one soft. These may be layered, but cannot be stacked up the torso. Knee and elbow sleeves may be worn, as well as wrist wraps. Chalk is the only substance that may be applied to the body. No straps can be used.
The event will be scored first by the amount of successful repetitions at the 30m mark, followed by the quickest time to make the full 30m course. If competitors are unsuccessful with reaching the final 30m mark, the time at which they were successful with the preceding deadlifts will be used for their score.
